My name is Hussein Khalid currently working withVOCAL Africa as the CEO.

Previously worked with HAKI Africa, MUHURI and the Kenya Human Rights Commission among others. I have over 20 years experience working on human rights, anti corruption, good governance and countering violent extremism programs. A lawyer by profession, I have also undertaken other courses including Fundamentals of Social Accountability with Rhodes University (South Africa), International Human Rights Law with Nottingham University (United Kingdom) together with Crime and Violence Prevention with United States International University (Africa).

I lead initiatives focused on human rights, social justice and community empowerment across Africa. My work involves building partnerships, strengthening advocacy efforts and supporting programs that amplify voices of vulnerable and marginalized communities.

I am here to connect with like-minded professionals, share experiences and collaborate on sustainable solutions that advance dignity, equality and justice for communities across the continent.
