Walid Said is the Coast Coordinator for VOCAL Africa, where he leads regional programming focused on social and economic empowerment. He brings a dual background in law and civil society, having practiced with ASA Advocates in Nairobi and BNC Advocates in Mombasa before transitioning full-time to the NGO sector.

Walid previously served as a Legal Assistant at HAKI Africa and as PCVE Program Lead for ACCEPT International in Mombasa. A committed advocate for community-led change, he contested the MCA seat in 2022 as one of the county’s youngest aspirants.

His work is driven by a belief that legal knowledge and civic engagement are critical tools for empowerment. Outside of his official duties, Walid stays engaged with local and international current affairs.
